My c7 with tsp 1 7/8th headers, 3”xpipe, afe air intake and ported intake/throttle body untuned vs my c5z with tsp 1 3/4 headers welded to stock h pipe, 2 runs with me driving c5z 2 runs with me driving c7, not sure why the difference the other driver drives very good, maybe driver weight about ~60 lbs.

2003 c5z with 1 3/4 headers, welded to stock h pipe, everything else stock vs 2007 c6 ls2 a6 1 7/8th headers, 3” xpipe, npp catback, vararam and tune
I'd put that up against my 6.o new body style 2500. 250000 miles and going strong
Also A8 is leaps and bounds better than the T56 in the C5Z whose 4th gear is incredibly tall (100 to 140mph). 1st throught 3rd it rips and then you put it in 4th and it kinda falls down, especially hitting the aero wall at 100mph. A8 shifts faster and always keeps you in the power band. Id like to see these two stock around an actual race track
Z51 has 7 speed manual, cylinder deactivation, magnaride, is 250 kbs heavier but is 49/51 weight distribution wise vs 53/47 of the C5Z. Im a former C5Z owner in the market for a C7 Stingray Z51, possibly convertible. I ran 12.2 @ 118 mph @ sonoma with heads and cam, basically what C7Z does from the factory but emissions compliant. C7 frame is 60% stiffer than C6 which itself is stiffer than C5. Its so stiff that no additional reinforcement is needed for the vert.

Not a very good comparison One is lifted crewcab More wind drag Heavier 4x4 with bigger tires Other is lowered 2x4 single cab smaller tires lighter weight Gotta say though the crewcab held his own

Good video. Second two races are more accurate in my experience. Depending on driver in a shorter street race the stingray owner could be very hurt, even though its undoubtedly the quicker car.
Im surprised how well the lifted truck did!
I love the aggressive gearing in this car but I don't like how the transmission doesn't like being pushed too quick.

The crew cab is supercharged 6.2 😂 vs a cam and bolt on 6.0 bro the single cab is down by like 150hp if not more

The fact of the matter is, and most people don't know this: If you take a stock L83/L86 and slap on some supercharger "kit" it's going to kinda suck. Yes it'll be faster than what it was, but it'll barely edge out a properly spec'd and modified NA engine/transmission or it'll flat out lose. You'd be surprised how little difference a blower makes compared to custom builds. Most of the really fast running supercharged/turbocharged trucks that people post on RUclips have the supporting mods and custom tune. They may not specify all what's been done, but there's more in it than just a blower. I have some videos of a stock L83 on 35s with a whipple kit. It's slow as hell still. After lots more upgrades and getting rid of the heavy ass offroad tires it's now actually kinda fast. I have a cam going in this week so I'm looking forward to that update video as well.
The cam should have been done with supercharger install lol
For whipple builds I recommend a torque cam texasspeed stage 1 truck cam or stage 2 on a 112lsa and never the stock tuned always custom

H/C/I LT1 should make 600+ wheel and the Cam/Intake C5 like 400s. I figured the C7 would spank the C5. And I’m biased toward C5s
c6z is king till this day ...people always tryna compare the ls3 to the flaws of the ls7 head issue and piston walls but it all depends on the build application .mines is a erl sleeved block ls7 forged everything ready for boost but no reason to because these noobs thinks a supercharger or boost etc is going to save them from a n.a HCI Z

Good races! I've had a c5z and an ls2 c6 z51 m6 currently. It's a drivers race between these cars honestly. C6 feels like it has longer legs compared to c5z. Both badass.

I love all Vettes but the C6 Z06 is legendary who doesn't love a N/A 7 liter 427 V8 😁 but my absolute favorite Vette is the Pratt & Miller C6RS with the K-tech 8.2 liter 500 cubic inch and all the other upgrades it has lol $250,000.00 back in 2006 was pretty exspensive though $65,000.00 for the doner Z06 and $185,000.00 to Pratt & Miller for the upgrades .

Just because it has a big cam doesn't mean it runs good, alot smaller cam will give you better power were you need it.
The C7 is the ultimate Corvette in my opinion. The C6 is awesome too but the C7 is it for me.
